Insight Chicago Meditation Community Retreat with Tuere Sala

Residential Retreat with Tuere Sala

Unshakeable Peace

August 27-30, 2026 Siena Center, Caledonia WI

The purpose of studying and practicing meditation is to discover peace in the midst of suffering. This unshakeable peace is not dependent on agreeable external conditions; it is cultivated as an inner ground. We tend to experience ourselves through our habits, assumptions, and judgments, which can make us reactive. The cultivation of unshakeable peace invites an awareness of our heart’s natural stillness. When we begin to know ourselves through the heart, we can respond with wisdom rather than react out of habit. During this retreat, we will explore what it means to trust our inner knowing.

Each day will include practice instructions, sitting and walking meditation. The retreat will be held in silence. We warmly welcome people of all backgrounds and communities. This retreat is suitable for both experienced meditators and those new to residential practice.

A rideshare spreadsheet will be available as we get closer to the retreat.
