Daylong Community Retreat

A Gift to the Sangha
Please join Madison Vipassana for a summer day of practice. On Saturday, August 10, we will offer a daylong community retreat at the Lussier Family Heritage Center in Madison, Wisconsin. The Lussier Center offers a beautiful and peaceful setting for this wonderful opportunity to practice with kalyana mitta (spiritual friends). We’ll gather as a community, without a teacher, to support one another’s practice.
The retreat is open to newer and more experienced meditators. Since there will be little instruction, it is most suitable to those with some exposure to meditation practice. It will be held in noble silence but with an opportunity for group discussion at the end. Instructions on standing meditation, qigong, and lovingkindness will be interspersed with alternating periods of sitting and walking. We will enjoy a brown bag lunch at noon, and tea will be available throughout the day. Please bring your own lunch and a mug.

This daylong retreat is being offered without registration fee as a gift to our community. There will be an opportunity to offer dana (freewill donations) at the end of the retreat.

In consideration of those with chemical sensitivities, please refrain from using perfumes or scented shampoos, ointments, or lotions.
